NEWLIN was founded by Jan Zurowski in 1991 to provide consulting and agency services to foreign companies of marine and energy related industries. The backbone of the Company is a group of Associates - business oriented engineers with considerable experience in electrical and automation disciplines.
The variety of projects handled by NEWLIN and associated mainly with the high-tech applications consisted of analyzing and investigating business and technical possibilities in order to establish and develop activities on the Polish market as well as of research and exploration of potential Polish partners as customers, suppliers of goods and services.
NEWLIN = practical solutions for the new electricity distribution network – smart grid
- 2007 - 2011 – rendering consulting services in the sphere of managing of the business organization and managing of new business spheres development for high tech products and technical services:
- the co-operation with FMC-Tech Ltd, Ireland, on the Polish market – NEWLIN have already managed to introduce the dynamic line rating system (110 kV network) to the Polish Electricity Utilities,
- 2009 – 2010 - the co-operation with METRIMA AB, Sweden, on a Polish market – NEWLIN have coordinated setting up and implementation of the pilot installation of AMM system of complex communication infrastructure and broad range of smart meter types for one of the DSO of PGE group.
NEWLIN = business development consultancy
- 2001 - 2006 – rendering consulting services in the sphere of managing of the development of the business organization:
- managing the development and restructuring process of the Company Ensto Pol Sp. z o.o. in a sphere of strategy and strategic business units.
NEWLIN = modern technologies for electricity distribution
- 1991 – 1993 - managing the marketing and sales agency for Ensto Sekko at Porvoo, the producer and supplier of insulated overhead lines technology and accessories and tools:
- NEWLIN managed to introduce and develop modern and innovative technology of insulated overhead electricity distribution systems (Sekko OY, Reka OY, Sahlins AB, Finntrepo OY).
- 1993 – establishment of the Polish – Finnish joint venture company Ensto Pol Sp. z o.o.
- 1993 – 2000 – development of the joint-venture, the supplier of modern technologies to the electricity distribution sector, the first and consequently the leading supplier of materials for building electrical insulated overhead lines in Poland:
- establishing the production unit to assemble accessories for insulated overhead line system, introducing modern technologies of radio controlled disconnectors and universal cable.
NEWLIN = modern propulsion systems for ships with demanding maneuverability
- 1991 – 1998 - managing the marketing and sales agency for AQUAMASTER RAUMA (belonging at present to Rolls-Royce)– the world leading manufacturer and supplier of state of the art propulsion systems for ships:
- The agency succeeded in selling several azimuth thrusters for tugboats and ferryboats built in Polish shipyards.
NEWLIN = automation system services
- 1991 – 1995 - rendering technical services for automation systems on board of merchant ships around the world for OPTEC International:
- The services consisted of installing, starting up and commissioning of hydrocarbon monitoring in discharge waters for ships and water content monitoring in the lubricating systems.
